Cookbooks for Dad

Father’s Day is coming our way and if the dad in your life is anything like my husband, a new cookbook is always appreciated. Here are some of my husband’s top picks!

Mexican Everyday has interesting and easy Mexican recipes that are tasty! Most of these take less than 30 minutes and are actually pretty healthy. And, there is a second edition—- More Mexican Everyday.

Alton Brown: EveryDayCook is my husband’s favorite TV chef’s cookbook. Recipes like the Enchilasagna and Chicken Piccata are crowd pleasers at our house.

The Food Lab is a science based approach to home cooking. The author goes through several different ways to cook a particular dish and then tells you which way is best and why. My husband references this one all the time!

Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat is the one my husband will be getting this year. ;) I’ve heard great things about this one and the reviews are nearly perfect. I’ll report back with his review.

Death & Co. is a library of cocktail recipes from classic to modern. Perfect for the mixologists. ;)

Lucky Peach 101 Easy Asian Recipes is great for a change of pace when you’d rather make your own that order Asian takeout.
