February Book Review

I only have 4 books to review this month...I blame February being only 28 days. I could have really used an extra few days last month!

So, I typically love a good Christina Lauren book and The Honey Don't List did not disappoint! It's about a couple with a design show/ empire (think Jo and Chip). They seem to be on top of the world from the outside, but their assistants see what's really going on. Is fame and success worth the stress and loss of genuine happiness? It's a fun read! Go for it!

After reading and loving my first Giffin book in January, (All We Ever Wanted) I couldn't wait to read another, so I picked up The Lies that Bind. Gah...I loved this one too! It's about a girl that has recently broken up with her longtime boyfriend. She unexpectedly meets a guy soon after and they hit it off. Fast forward a bit to September 11, 2001 and she cannot find him, but she does find a sign for him at a vigil which means someone else is looking for him too. Lots of twists and turns in this one. A little far fetched at times, but I ate it up!

So, after being 2 for 2 with Giffin, I decided to go for a 3rd with Heart of the Matter and, well....I didn't hate it, but I preferred the other 2. I actually couldn't put it down because I really wanted to know what happened but I was just disappointed in the characters. It gets 4.5 out of 5 stars on Amazon so it looks like I am in the minority with this opinion, but idk... If you have read this one too, let me know what you think in the comments!!!

To close out the month, I read Ugly Love by Colleen Hoover. Oh my goodness gracious, I just loved it. Now...full disclosure there are some steamy scenes, so if you are sensitive to that, this book is not for you. The story is about a girl that moves in with her brother to save money before she buys her own place. She meets and develops a friends-with-benefits relationship with one of her brother's friends. They keep it secret and both know that there are no strings attached, but then guess what...she falls for him. Ahhh...I read it in 2 days. Grab it!

That's it for February! What are you reading? Have you read any of these? What should I read next?
