New Releases From Authors We Love!
Some of my (our??) favorite authors have new releases out! I am so excited to dive into these!
Which will you grab first???
I read Float Plan by Trish Doller last year and LOVED IT! Here is a repost of my review. Anna is surviving life post the suicide of her boyfriend. It’s been 10 months since she lost him and she is having trouble moving forward. She and Ben had planned a trip sailing around the world…had all the dates and stops planned out. So when the date that they were supposed to depart arrives, she decides to take the trip alone. After the first leg is more difficult than expected, Anna decides to hire someone to help her complete the trip. In walks Keen. Keen has suffered tragedy of his own and is in a sense married to the sea. We see the relationship develop and it is very sweet. I loved the people they meet at different stops on the trip and how welcoming and happy everyone seemed. This book is a quick read that you are sure to enjoy!
Doller’s newest book The Suite Spot is out now!!!
Christina Lauren has A LOT of winners! Her newest, Something Wilder, is hot off the press and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! Here is a repost of my review of the Soulmate Equation- Ah! I flew through this on as I usually do with Christina Lauren books. Jess is a single mom who works tirelessly to make ends meet and is not even thinking about stepping back into the dating world. She has a tight knit family consisting of her daughter, her grandparents who raised her, and her best friend. She is content although lonely. After a depressing 30th birthday, she submits her spit sample to GeneticAlly, a new dating ap that is soon to launch and said to take all of the guesswork out of dating and let it all rely on DNA compatibility. She forgets about submitting her sample until the higher-ups at GeneticAlly call and ask her to come in for a meeting. She assumes that she messed up her sample, NOT that she has a match that is OFF THE CHARTS! Loved this one! Can’t wait to hear what you think!
I also adored The Unhoneymooners, Twice in a Blue Moon and Love and Other Words.
Last summer I read People We Meet on Vacation- When I started this book, I wasn’t feeling it, but I pressed on and am so happy I did. I’m not sure why it took me a few chapters to become invested, but it did and then I could’t stop! Poppy and Alex meet when she goes to orientation before her freshman year of college. They don’t really have anything in common aside from being from the same town. Some months later they share a car ride home from college and their friendship blooms. They begin taking a trip together each summer. After college they continue the tradition and some years it is the only time they see each other all year long. Boyfriends and girlfriends come and go but their friendship remains intact UNTIL it all falls apart one summer. I loved Poppy and Alex’s friendship and their dynamic. I loved Poppy’s parents and Alex’s brothers. I wasn’t expecting Alex’s issues to be what they were, but it was completely understandable. In the end, I loved it!
Emily Henry’s newest book, Book Lovers, is a MUST READ! I just finished this one last night and wish I could go back and read it all again for the first time. Total WIN!
The Happy Ever After Playlist is definitely one of the best books I’ve listened to via Audible. I may or may not have listened to it twice! I would 100% recommend it if you have not read it yet. Don’t be surprised next month when you see Abby Jiminez’s newest book, Part of Your World, as the Sarah Finds a Deal book club pick! I have HIGH HOPES for this one!!!
And finally, Emily Giffin’s newest book which I can only assume will be a gem, Meant to Be, comes out at the end of the month. Here is a previous post about Giffin’s books—-After reading and loving my first Giffin book in January, (All We Ever Wanted) I couldn't wait to read another, so I picked up The Lies that Bind. Gah...I loved this one too! It's about a girl that has recently broken up with her longtime boyfriend. She unexpectedly meets a guy soon after and they hit it off. Fast forward a bit to September 11, 2001 and she cannot find him, but she does find a sign for him at a vigil which means someone else is looking for him too. Lots of twists and turns in this one. A little far fetched at times, but I ate it up!
These books couldn’t have come at a better time because SUMMER IS HERE!!! Grab your next vacation read!!!
